Jenny Birckel is an APA Sports Physiotherapist and has worked with many types of sporting teams over the years including rugby, netball, cricket, ice skating, gymnastics, soccer, Jenny was the physiotherapist for the Australian Women’s Rugby Union tour to Holland, and has worked at the World Gymnastics and World Junior Ice skating when these were held in Brisbane. Jenny was a Sydney Olympic physiotherapy volunteer at the sailing.

Jenny has worked with dancers for many years and has been involved in assessment of Queensland Dance School of Excellence (QDSE) students on an annual basis since 1991. Her area of interest is particularly the adolescent dancer and assisting young dancers to strengthen any areas identified as being a weakness in their form.

Jenny’s interest in Pilates began in the early 1990s when she was developing strengthening exercises for the QDSE students. She worked with floor Pilates initially and then went on to train in Pilates studio equipment and opened an equipment based studio in 1996. She has continued her research and development of client specific assessments and exercises programmes that can offer a safe form of exercise for a wide range of clients

Jenny also has considerable experience in worksite injuries, rehabilitation and worksite task analysis.
